12/03/2020 Changes to Merrow Park Appointments
Due to the current and changing situation with Covid-19 (Coronavirus) we are changing how we manage our appointments. We are working on making some changes over the next few days. Please be patient as we have hundreds of appointments each week and this is no small task.
Do not attend the practice if you have any symptoms of fever, cough, and shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. You will NOT BE SEEN and will be asked to leave the premises. You will only be seen if you have been screened by a GP and the correct arrangements have been made.
The new telephone GP appointments will be available to book each day online 7 days ahead. There will be some delay in these becoming available as we move current appointments across.
Do not forget you can talk to the practice through this website. We will aim to respond within 2 hrs up until 4pm each day. If it is a question for your GP this will be acknowledged and passed to them to manage for you. You may not even need an appointment. This is a very useful and direct way to consult with your GP.
All appointments from the 16th March 2020 will be changed even those that are already booked. If you have a booked face to face or telephone appointment this will be cancelled and you will be called by the GP in the morning between 8am and 11.30am instead. If the GP then needs to see you they will arrange this, most likely for that same day in the afternoon.
We do understand this may not work for everyone but we do have to ensure the wellbeing of staff and patients. If you wish to rebook your new telephone appointment to a different day we can do this for you. You can do this online, through this website or call us after 11am.
Nurse and HCA appointments
All nurse and HCA appointments will be screened by our patient services team at the time of booking and you will be re screened at checking in. If you have any symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing you will not be seen. Please check our website for any updates prior to your appointments. You also can call us to find out the latest status and we are updating our outgoing message as quickly as possible.
